HAED Rotation

Sunday, January 21, 2018

Time is going way to fast. It's time for another SAL update already. I have been making good progress on both projects that I am stitching for January. I may change one or both in February but haven't made a firm decision yet.

On Sat and Sun I stitch on Coming to Room  HAED. I am pleased with the progress I have made so far since I only started it on Jan 1. Where it was last update

And as of this morning

I have also made significant progress on my Mon-Fri stitching of The Astronomer. In fact I have had a page finish since the last SAL post and made good progress on the next page.

Last time

Page finish

And now

Hopefully I can keep making good progress.

Check out the other talented stitchers that I am doing this SAL with. They are a very talented group who are working on some truly amazing projects

Hope everyone has a wonderful stitchy week.

WIPocalypse SAL 2018

Apparently I have lost all my good sense since I retired. I have now joined this SAL on FB. I find it hard to focus on stitching if I have set a goal. I usually just stitch on whatever takes my fancy at the time. I am also addicted to HAED, Tilton Crafts and Paine Free full coverage pieces so all of my 30+ WIPs are full coverage. I may finish at least one in this lifetime. I like to have a lot of pieces to choose from but I think I need to really get some progress on these things. I have only set a goal for January so far as if I try to project into the future all is lost and I change my mind when the month arrives.
So for January I will be focusing on two HAED's. The first on is my oldest HAED and the project that got me hooked on these charts. Please meet The Astronomer. Myles Pinkney is the artist. I started this poor fellow back in 2010 so now need to make some significant progress. I will be working on this one Mon-Fri.

The second focus piece for this month is a new start for another group on FB. (note to self:must limit time on FB LOL)
This is Coming to Room. Artist is Jan Patrik Krasny. I will be working on this one Sat/Sun.

These are it for now. We shall see what February brings.

Happy stitching everyone.

Sunday, December 31, 2017

I actually have something to post this time. Since the last update I have switched projects AGAIN. Must be stitchers ADD. I am now working on my oldest WIP- The Astronomer by Myles Pinkney charted by HAED. I started this one in 2010 and it was the start of my obsession with HAED and other full cover designers. Time to give it some love. I have joined a couple of SAL's on FB and hope to get the motivation I need to continue with this one. On the other had I am also hosting a Jan New Start SAL on one of my FB groups (as it I don't have enough started.)
My goal in January is to stitch on The Astronomer Mon-Fri and my new start Coming to Room on Sat-Sun. Hopefully will make some progress on both.
I also have not quit knitting. I find I get more done if I stitch during the day and knit at night. Hey it keeps me off the streets and out of trouble. Although with temps ranging from-18F to -6F during the day I don't go out much.
Okay enough of my blathering. Here is what you have come to see.

The Astronomer picked up again on 12/11/17.

and now

My new start for Jan 1 is called Coming to Room

We'll see how well I do in keeping to the plan.

Don't forget to check out all the other wonderful stitching being done by my partners in this SAL.

Till next time.

I just realized that I totally forgot to post for the last SAL. Actually nothing really to post because knitting has taken over my life. I actually have been stitching during the day for the past week. I dragged out a WIP and it has held my interest so far for a few hours a day.
This is where I started this time:

And this is where I am today.

It is helpful to see progress like this as just looking at it in my lap doesn't seem to be as much.

Check out the other talented stitchers who take part in this SAL and who are much more disciplined than I am as they seem to be able to stick to one project. LOL
