SAL UPDATE AND OTHER THINGS.

It really doesn't seem like it has been 3 weeks since the last update. Unfortunately not much progress has been made. It seems that my crochet bug and my knitting bug ganged up on the poor stitchy bug and he ran away from home.
I did make a little progress on The Universe in a Jar.
Here is last time.

This time

This is a closeup of where I was working

There are a lot of talented stitchers taking part in this SAL. Please stop by and check out their updates also. If you are interested in joining us please contact Avis to get the details.

As the title says there are other things I have been working on recently.

I finished my daughters huge granny square afghan. Yay.

I am also taking a knitting class and finished 2 dishcloths and started another (no picture of start yet).

I gifted the dishcloths to my best friends mother who can no longer knit but she admired them while I was knitting them.

My crochet bug also started yelling that since I had finished the afghan I needed to start another one so this happened.

I am using my own colors to use up some of my yarn so that I have room for more. Simple half double crochet so easy peasy.

I also started knitting a cowl for my daughter. Hopefully I will have enough progress on the cowl for my next post.

Hope everyone has a wonderful stitchy day.

VACATIOIN

Apparently my stitchy bug has decided to take a vacation. Hasn't been seen since last week.

That's okay though because the knitting and crocheting bugs are here to keep me company.

This week I finished my daughter's huge granny square afghan. Boy was I glad to see the last of that. LOL.

I also finished 2 dishcloths that I started in my knitting class.

I have also started a cowl for my daughter and will be doing 2 more dishcloths with different patterns for my knitting class.

Actually the weather is very conducive to these activities. Cool and raining. Good weather to stay in and knit.

Off to knit now.

Hope everyone has a wonderful stitchy day.

Till tomorrow.

BACK ON TRACK

Had a better stitching day yesterday. Actually have progress to show. Today is a stitching day also. Husband is napping, all of my chores are done and dinner is planned.
Also a sunny but cold day. The snow should go away soon.

I did 211 stitches yesterday.

Here is today's starting point.

I also found this on FB yesterday and it pretty much describes me right now.

Hope everyone has a wonderful stitchy day.

MISSED A DAY

Didn't put in any stitches yesterday. I did do 106 stitches on Friday.

Yesterday I left my stitching home when I went to stitch group and took my knitting and crocheting instead. And I had two starts and 2 finishes yesterday. My daughter snagged the bottom one and it disappeared almost before I could snap a picture.

Not much but they were fun to do. I plan on making more of them. Good way to use up my Sugar and Cream cotton.

I will stitch today. Really missed it yesterday even though I wasn't feeling it. Does that make sense?

Hope everyone has a wonderful stitchy day.

Till tomorrow.

NOT MUCH

Progress yesterday. Only 37 stitches but what the hey it's 37 I don't have to do today. I ended up taking my knitting to stitch group as I needed some help and also it is more portable.

The art reception was fun and I met some very talented artists. Tonight is the First Friday Art Walk which happens the first Friday of every month. Artists display their work at several locations and people go from place to place to view the art.
I will be going to sit with my friend Sandy who displaying her her art. I will be taking my knitting here also to keep my hands busy.

Here is today's starting point.

Hope everyone has a wonderful stitchy day.

Till tomorrow.

I actually got a good amount done yesterday considering how tired I was. 144 stitches total.

Today is stitch group so we shall see. Then after stitch group I am going to an Art reception at the library. My best friend will be exhibiting her art there all month.

Here is today's starting point.

Hope everyone has a wonderful stitchy day.

Till tomorrow.

WASN'T SURE

If I was going to stitch today. Today was the monthly grocery shopping at Walmart. This really exhausts me. Jessica goes with me to do the lifting and carrying but just walking up and down the aisles and checking out is tiring for me. Most of the groceries are put away. Just some dry goods and canned goods to go but doing it a little at a time. Already informed husband that dinner is going to be simple.

Now that I have rested for a bit I will be stitching. I did 154 stitches yesterday. We'll see if I can match that today.

Here is today's starting point.

Hope everyone has a wonderful stitchy day.

Till tomorrow

AND STITCHING I WILL GO

Housework is done. Meat thawing for supper. Husband asleep. Cold out but sun is shining. Snow on the ground. I think I will stitch now.

I did 215 stitches yesterday. I'm getting back into my groove.

Here is today's starting point and yes I did get to stitch something other than blue yesterday.

Hope everyone has a wonderful stitchy day.

Till tomorrow.

BOY DOES TIME FLY (SAL UPDATE)

When you're having fun. It is time for another SAL update. Are you sure it has been 3 weeks?

I had a page finish this time but haven't gotten much done since then. I have been a bad girl and have been knitting and crocheting since Friday.

Here is what it looked like the last time.

Here is what it looks like now. Sorry for the off color photo. I took it at night and the lighting wasn't the best.

After the page finish I dithered about where to go next. Up another page or to the right. I posted on FB and the consensus was to go to the right. This is where I am stitching now.

Nothing much going on today so I hope to get a good amount done on this. In March I put a total of 7,296 stitches into it. Hoping to do a well this month.

Please check out all of the wonderful stitching being done by other members of our SAL who are all over the world.

NO STITCHING PER SEY

This happened instead. I am getting ready for my knitting class so I thought I would practice my skills that I already have. Hopefully this will be a scarf for my daughter.

It is also TUSAL time. This is my jar for March.

To be truthful I did do 25 stitches yesterday but not enough to take a picture of.

I will be knitting again today at stitch group but maybe some stitching when I get home.

Hope everyone has a wonderful stitchy day.

Till tomorrow.
